the basics

If you share a work during Daster Week, it’s welcome in the zine!
Exception: Works with excessive gore/graphic blood are excluded from submission for the PDF due to the designer’s personal triggers (and she is truly sorry about that). A little is fine, but if it’s approaching horror level or has visible wounds, please check with hyuge first!
Submissions will be printed AS IS. Make sure you have double checked all spelling and grammar before you submit! We will not have time to edit submissions.
The zine will be released as a free PDF download.
This is a totally free project & no one earns anything. (Sorry, Aster.)

[ ] Fics may be in doc, rtf, or txt format. We won’t accept AO3 downloads that have been pasted into Word unless you remove all excess before submitting the file
[ ] We will maintain italics and bold text (you do not need to highlight or otherwise indicate these), but fonts and text color will be standardized across the zine
[ ] If your fic requires custom formatting (e.g. letters, text messages, quotes), add a note at the top of your document letting muse know!
[ ] If you require a special symbol in your text, make a note at the top of the document. We can’t guarantee that a glyph will be available, but muse will do her best
[ ] Indicate scene changes with a hash # on its own line. Convert any other spacers (horizontal rule, emojis, asterisks, etc.) to this format
[ ] Use actual em dashes (the long ones that look like this: — ) or indicate where they are to be placed with two dashes --. Please don’t use spaces on either side of an em dash.
[ ] If your story must include emojis, I need a typeface that supports it, like EmojiOne. If it’s critical to use one not supported, please supply an image file that we are legally allowed to use. Let me know at the top of your document that there are inline emojis so they are not wiped out on import! I will need to apply a special class to them.
