Getting Ready

• If you’re on a team, talk with your partner about your posting plan. Let them know your time zone and what time of day you’re likely to post
• Teams, talk about embedding art. This is up to both of you. It’s totally optional. If you need image hosting, I like imgur
• Check how you spell & format each other’s names
• Decide who is going to submit the masterpost to tumblr on your team’s posting date
• Create a graphic to accompany your masterpost and social media posts (optional)
• Authors, figure out your fic title, tags, and summary

<aside> ⭐ Tip for Authors: Create a draft before your posting date so you can generate an AO3 link for your artist early. If necessary because of time zones, authors can post the night before their scheduled date.

Posting day

• Post your work(s) in public. Authors will post to AO3 and any other archives they use. Artists may post to the site(s) of their choice.
• If you have a partner, exchange links to your respective finished works. Authors, add a link to the art from your fic
• Submit your masterpost to tumblr (see below)
• Celebrate! 🥳

<aside> ⭐ There will probably be a gap between when partners are able to post and when you submit your team masterpost. That’s normal.

Submitting your masterpost to tumblr

Once your team’s work is posted, submit one masterpost to the T’hy’la Bang tumblr at thylabang.tumblr.com/submit. It doesn’t matter which partner submits the form, just that we have all of your information.

If neither partner uses tumblr, you can email the information to us and we’ll post on your behalf.

Use the drop-down menu to the right of “Team posting dates” to switch between the table view and calendar view of the posting schedule. The calendar may default to today’s date. If it does, just navigate to April.

I haven’t heard from my partner! Should I go ahead and submit the masterpost?

No, please wait until your partner has posted! That might mean you post several hours before you submit your masterpost. That’s okay. It’s important the post contains both links (or a combination link if the art will be embedded only). Tumblr reblogs aren’t updated when the original post is.

If it’s been more than 24 hours since you’ve heard from them, Contact the bridge.

Am I allowed to correct a typo after posting?

Absolutely! Editing a posted fic does not change the posting date or send out notifications. You’ll probably need to edit your fic in order to add a link to the art.

I accidentally posted my fic and wasn’t supposed to for a few more days! Do I have to delete it and start over?

If you accidentally hit the post button early, don’t panic. Add it to this collection on AO3. The work should then disappear from public view and your profile. When you’re ready for it to be visible, just remove it from the collection. (If you can’t figure out how, ask muse.)

Can I get an extension?

For the sake of your partner, the other participants, the mods, and the people who are waiting to consume all of the amazing works this challenge has produced, please do your best to get your work posted on your scheduled date.
